I'm a graduate student in the Sage School of Philosophy at Cornell University. Before I came to Cornell, I earned an MA in philosophy at Georgia State University. Before that, I earned a BA from a different Cornell.
I'm interested in metaphysical and epistemological questions about modality and in how these questions relate to moral agency, social categories, and our emotions.
Outside of philosophy, I spend most of my time watching baseball, playing board and card games (my current favorites are Wingspan and Texas hold 'em, respectively), and listening to podcasts (my favorites are Effectively Wild and Citations Needed).
You can reach me via email at mat298@cornell.edu.
